Lights Out lives entirely inside the seconds before the race. Five red lights, one by one, above the grid. Then the hold: engines screaming, twenty of the fastest humans alive strapped in, and nothing moves. This is not a film about the race. It is the breath before it, a ninety second study of calm inside chaos, with Colin Farrell as the voice inside the driver's head.
Six drivers carry the film: Russell, Verstappen, Leclerc, Norris, Antonelli, and Hamilton, the Maestro, standing apart. Each light belongs to one driver and one state of mind, from ignition to anticipation, built in a heightened world of deep red and near darkness, to Reign by UNKLE. Stillness before the storm. Calm within the chaos. And then, everything.
